How We Help
A place to call home
We primarily support regional families who find it difficult to access affordable accommodation while their child is undergoing treatment, with an average stay of 6-10 months. We have 17 self-contained units, across 6 properties in Brisbane to provide a home away from home during treatment.
Emotional and financial support
We provide some financial assistance to families that are experiencing financial hardship as a result of their child’s cancer diagnosis. We have a dedicated team to provide a support network during their stay and when they return home. We can also work closely with qualified teachers to assist in your child’s education.
We understand that getting around Brisbane can be challenging. That’s why we provide a free transport service, Monday to Friday, for Childhood Cancer Support and paediatric oncology families.
We provide family support and referrals to suitable support networks and ensure that all on-site resources, services and activities are available and geared towards supporting and nurturing paediatric oncology families.
